When Is Wadi Mujib Open?
Wadi Mujib Biosphere Reserve has set opening hours for the gate and for individual trails. Hours can change by season: in summer the reserve often opens earlier and closes later; in winter, hours may be shorter and the Siq Trail may be closed due to water levels or weather. Use the menu for an overview of the reserve.
We do not publish live opening times here because they can change. Always confirm current opening hours on the official reserve website or by phone before you travel. Plan your drive and allow time to pay the entrance fee and register at the Adventure Center.
Siq Trail Opening Hours and Season
The Siq Trail is typically open from April through October, when water levels and weather are safe. Even in season, the Siq may close on short notice after heavy rain. There is often a last entry time (e.g. mid-afternoon) so that everyone can finish before the reserve closes. Check current opening hours and Siq status before you leave; the Adventure Center can confirm on the day. The Ibex Trail may have different hours or stay open when the Siq is closed. Canyoning runs when conditions allow and is often booked in advance.
Arrive within the reserve's opening hours and leave enough time to register at the Adventure Center and complete your hike. Your entrance fee is valid for the day. Use the Where Is Wadi Mujib page in the menu to plan your journey.
Why Opening Hours Matter
If you arrive after the last entry for the Siq, you will not be able to start the water hike that day. The Ibex Trail or a shorter walk may still be possible if the reserve is open. Checking opening hours and trail status helps you avoid a wasted trip.
