Wadi Mujib is one of Jordan's most dramatic natural sites. Check entrance fees and opening hours before you go. The Siq Trail is the classic water hike; the Ibex Trail offers dry canyon views.
Wadi Mujib is a deep canyon and biosphere reserve in Jordan, often called the "Grand Canyon of Jordan." The Mujib River cuts through towering sandstone cliffs before reaching the Dead Sea. The reserve offers several experiences: the famous Siq Trail (a water hike through a narrow gorge), the Ibex Trail (a drier hiking route), and canyoning adventures. For a full overview, see What Is Wadi Mujib in the menu.
Your entrance ticket covers access to the reserve; some activities may have extra fees. Check current entrance fees and opening hours before you visit. The Adventure Center at the entrance is where you register, rent gear if needed, and get trail info. Wadi Mujib is on the eastern shore of the Dead Sea; use the menu for directions and other practical pages.
Whether you choose the Siq Trail, Ibex Trail, or canyoning, planning ahead with the right ticket and schedule will make your trip smoother.

Wadi Mujib is open seasonally. The Siq Trail usually runs from April into October, when water levels and weather are safe. The Ibex Trail may have different hours; always confirm before you travel. Winter and heavy rain can close trails or the whole reserve—check the official reserve website and our Opening Hours page in the menu.
For the Siq Trail you will get wet. Wear secure water shoes or sandals with good grip, and bring a change of clothes and a waterproof bag for valuables. Life jackets are typically provided. The Ibex Trail is dry but still requires sturdy shoes and sun protection. For canyoning, follow the guide's instructions and use provided equipment.
